Reach Broadband gives you an “Always On” connection with speeds competitive to DSL and Cable. This means that when you turn on your computer, your internet connection is already on. Reach does not require the use of an existing phone line. With a high-speed connection such as Reach Broadband, customers can take full advantage of internet offerings that require large download and upload capabilities. Video conferencing, online gaming, graphic intensive websites, and streaming video will now be available through Reach Broadband.
Pricing: Reach Broadband has several pricing plans available to meet your needs at a reasonable price. Below you will find our current rates. Unlike DSL or Cable, all connections have the same upload and download speeds, which means your upload speed will not be slowed down.
Residential Rates:
384K upload and download is $35.00 per month
512K upload and download is $45.00 per month
768K upload and download is $55.00 per month
1.1Mb upload and download is $75.00 per month
Small Business Rates:
384K upload and download is $50.00 per month
512K upload and download is $60.00 per month
768K upload and download is $70.00 per month
1.1Mb upload and download is $100.00 per month
All equipment is leased from Community Tech Center and cost is already included with your monthly service.
There will be a $150.00 installation/activation fee on all new installations.
How Does It Work?
In late 2005, ReachBB set out to build an entirely new broadband wireless network. Instead of rushing to the market with a quick fix to a single Line-of-Sight RF issue, ReachBB focused on a solution encompassing current major line-of-sight RF issues, including interference, spectral efficiency, range, scalability, capacity, redundancy, and fault tolerance.
After months of research a completely new wireless network was implemented, the result was a cost-effective system that elegantly and gracefully handled the major complexities of deploying line-of-sight RF solutions.
This innovative new wireless network blends two significant wireless innovations into a single solution. By coupling an Advanced Antenna Array with a Synchronous Mesh Protocol, ReachBB effectively solved the most serious line-of-sight RF issues facing our current wireless deployment.
The array of high-gain, high-power, sectorized antenna enabled a unique combination of extended reach, high modulation, and 360° coverage. Furthermore, this antenna array allowed a sophisticated protocol to provide bandwidth scheduling and intelligent routing in a way that provided significant benefits for both RF management and mesh networking.
